The event is being arranged by retired, Bendigo- based Agricultural scientists Bob Edgar (Resources management and strategies) and David Elvery (Soil conservation).

A feature of the event will be the showing of an informative film “Seeds of Time” by Sandy McLeod. It relates to the collection and safe, long term storage of agricultural seeds in a specially designed seed vault in Norway’s arctic region.

Hopefully this will enable the future breeding of crop and pasture species to feed an expanding, hungry world, adapting to climate change and adopting disease resistance.
